Creepy Crawly’s Could Be Affecting Your Potential Good Health!

Recently at a health seminar an Australian leading naturopath spoke about what crawls within our bodies and is potentially affecting the quality of our health. Yuck!

Parasites are common place in the human body; there are several types of nasties that could be lurking inside you.

  • worms
  • fungi
  • moulds
  • virus
  • flukes
  • bacteria

These parasites colonize in the body and steal nutrients from their host, while excreting wastes that can be toxic.  Worms are mans deadliest enemy they range from microscopic to 35 feet in length and can live for up to 20+ years.

Some of the diseases that can be associated with parasite invasion:

Do any of these symptoms or ailments sound all too familiar?

  • IBS irritable bowel syndrome
  • MS
  • CFS
  • Foggy brain
  • Sinus
  • Fatigue
  • Constipation
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Sugar cravings
  • Itchy skin
  • Headaches

Or these

  • Migraine
  • Itchy eyes
  • Blurry vision
  • Colds & flu
  • Rumbling stomach
  • Mood swings
  • Floaters in front of the eye (ever see little things like this in front of your eyes ~ ~~ and just thought your eyes were tired.)

  • Sexual dysfunction
  • PMS
  • Itchy ears

And the list goes on!

So to be on the safe side eliminate parasites.

Fixing The Parasite Problem.

Remove as many harmful toxins from your food, personal care, household cleaning and remove sugar from your diet.

Supplement to enrich your body and undertake a parasite specific detox program to remove these parasites from your body. It is recommended that Children undertake a parasite detox 2 times per year and adults at least once per year to optimise your health and reduce your risk of the above mentioned symptoms.  Contact us for an effective parasite elimination program.

Once you have undergone a full parasite detox you can help reduce future parasite burdens by indulging in a cup of clove tea and fresh pineapple regularly. Both have anti-helmintic properties.

NB: We do recommend seeing your qualified health professional such as your naturopath for continuing symptoms or if you suffer a chronic health condition and wish to undergo a parasite detox.

Toss The Bottle & Save Your Health

While bisphenol A (BPA) has been banned in many countries around the world it was only last month that Australian authorities recognised BPA as potentially dangerous to human health.

While the US Food & Drug Administration has advised consumers to reduce exposure even though a major study revealed the chemical to be linked to an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes in adults.

BPA can be found in hard plastics such as baby bottles, hard plastic drink bottles, cups, containers and even the epoxy resin that often lines many food tins today.

TIPS: avoid tinned foods switch to frozen or fresh.  Switch to products in cartons such as soups and juices. Check the bottles you use. The recycle codes that usually contain BPA are 3 or 7. Use glass baby bottles and stainless steel drink bottles instead of plastics. Reheat food in glass or ceramic containers rather than plastic microwaveable containers for a good health alternative.

My last healthy living tip is to use glass canisters and containers for storing foods. That way you reduce the likely hood of toxins leaching out of plastics and into your food.

Dry Body Brushing Stimulates Good Healthy Skin Plus More

Health Fears on Kiddie Cosmetics

Herald Sun – 09 March, 2009
by Kylie Hansen

CHILDREN using kiddie makeup kits, bubble baths, nail varnish and costume jewellery may be putting their health in danger, experts have warned.

The boom in cosmetic products for children – many of them sold in toy stores – could lead to future allergy problems due to the high levels of preservatives, perfumes and other problem ingredients.

Toy stores, discount and department stores are now brimming with tiny makeup kits, nail varnishes and lip glosses aimed at girls as young as two and three.

“A child’s skin is sensitive and prone to irritation,” said Australasian College of Dermatologists spokeswoman Dr Mei Tam.

“If they’ve got eczema or broken skin you have to be really careful about these sort of products.

“They are highly perfumed and full of preservatives and if they are applied to broken skin the preservative gets into the system and your immune system can develop a reaction to it,” said Dr Tam, who is a specialist in contact allergy.

“Those stick-on plastic nails are something you can become allergic to and nail varnish contains a type of resin some people are allergic to,” she said.

Dr Tam also warned parents to take care with girls using costume jewellery.

“In places like China and other Asian countries, there are no laws preventing nickel being put in these products and this can cause an allergic reaction.

‘In the European Union there are strict rules against this. If you wear it and perspire, the nickel leaches into the skin and you can become sensitised to it.”

Cheap bubble bath contains a lot of detergent, she said, which used over time can irritate the skin.

Australian Toy Industry Association spokeswoman Beverly Jenkin said these cosmetics had to meet standards and list ingredients used.

The products, despite being sold in outlets for children, come under the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme, administered under the Federal Department of Health.

However, in the past the ACCC has recalled multiple children’s cosmetic products because they were not properly labelled and therefore posed a risk for children who were allergic to particular ingredients.

Dr Tam said parents must be educated.

Frustrated With, Bleeding Gums From Simply Brushing Your Teeth.

Is your daily brushing causing bleeding gums? Ever wondered why simply carrying out your daily dental hygiene raceme you end up with sensitive bleeding gums.

Have you ever taken 5 minutes to see exactly what is in that tube we pick up and give a little squeeze each day.

Yep there are a handful of ingredients that should be protecting your teeth and gums, right!

There is usually an ingredient in that tube that is actually breaking down the delicate cells and tissue that surrounds those precious pearly whites of yours and this could very well be causing your mouth to bleed every time you brush, brush, brush. SLS(sodium Lauryl sulphate) is designed as a harsh cleaner that foams. All that foam gives us the comforting thought that we are cleaning our teeth and protecting them, when in actual fact we are causing a break down of the very delicate tissue in our mouth.

Also since one of the quickest ways to get substances into our body is through the mouth or the eyes this stuff is being absorbed into our mouths on a daily basis. Yuck!

If you have ever suffered from mouth ulcers this same ingredient is at work again. Simply eliminate SLS from your toothpaste and you will find in time a huge improvement in your dental health.

Make Hair Fall A Thing Of The Past.

Do you suffer hair fall every time you wash your lovely locks?

Often we see hair fall each time we wash or brush through our hair. Mostly we think this is normal. But as our hair begins to thin we start to wonder.

In actual fact hair fall can be caused for several reasons.

1. Hormonal changes eg after we have had a baby.
2. Some hair fall is normal but your hair shouldn’t really become thinner.
3. Certain illnesses can cause hair loss
4. One of the most common and little known causes is the ingredients in your shampoo destroying the fair follicle and sending it into early retirement.

If your shower drain is full of hair and you have to get the plumber in every couple months then maybe you should check out exactly what it is you are pouring onto your scalp. If you see these ingredients in your shampoo bottle you might want to think twice about using it next time.

If Sodium lauryl sulphate or SLS or even Sodium Lareth Sulphate or SLES are listed on the bottle send that shampoo packing.

Ok so why do these ingredients make your hair fall out? Well here is what I have discovered. The SLS or SLES’s of this world were designed to clean. Yes, that part they got right! BUT they are harsh cleaners that break down protein and fat that’s why they are so good at cleaning away engine grease etc., which is what they were designed for – not our precious scalps! After all we only get one! So when we pour these same ingredients onto our lovely locks several times a week, it does the same thing. SLS and SLES break down the protein in our skin and cells and our hair follicles don’t like it. Once they are damaged they no longer grow lovely healthy hair.

Here’s the good news! Simply remove these ingredients from your bathroom and use shampoo and conditioner that doesn’t contain these harsh chemicals and you might just find that your thick healthy hair may return. If you have lost all your curls though, it may take some time to reverse this process. Give it time and it might just happen. We have seen and heard many success stories.

Nikki’s testimonial

As a child Nikki suffered from spasmodic alopecia. Her mother tried many main stream products with no success. Eventually Nelson shared some good news with her. Nikki tried the recommended safe shampoo and conditioner system giving her hair a “second chance” and within a short time she had a beautiful head of hair once more. Needless to say she was delighted.
Now Nikki recommends these products to everyone.

5 Ingredients You Should Avoid Using In Your Bathroom Today!

Today I want to share with you some information I have shared with family and friends and that I am extremely passionate about.

After spending many months searching for safe bathroom products that would help our eldest childs eczema, I sadly discovered that companies are knowingly using ingredients in personal care products that were originally designed for use as abattoir floor cleaners (to break down the fat and protein) and even, dare I say it, “radiator fluid” you know that watery liquid we put in the radiator of our cars. Yuck!

These chemicals, plus hundreds of other toxic and highly suspicious ingredients could very well be lurking in your bathroom. Here’s what I thought when I first read about these ingredients. “Huh! There won’t be any of that in MY bathroom”. Man, what an earth shattering blow. I was so very wrong. A full garbage bag later, and an empty bathroom this was the beginning of our journey. My poor hubby must have thought he should send for the men in white coats – “she’s lost it”. After reading what I had read, he then understood. But what do we wash with now? Well there are a few companies around that make great safe products. We now use products we can safely use throughout the whole house. Please don’t be fooled by the “soap free” and “all natural” or “organic” terms because they are not always as they seem.

After we changed brands our daughters’ eczema was mostly gone in two weeks. This for us was a ‘minor miracle after all the health professionals’ advice and treatments hadn’t worked in the past. Soft clear skin with no red itchy patches was so very exciting and a welcome sight.

But I don’t want to overwhelm you with a barrage of ingredients we really shouldn’t be putting on our skin let alone our children. So today I’ll give you 5 to start you of. Try your best to avoid:

Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and it’s cousin Sodium Laureth sulphate (SLES), Propylene Glycol, Formaldehyde & Mineral oil.

PS: Don’t be fooled by rich, thick and creamy products either. SLS and NaCl (sodium chloride or cheap table salt) when mixed together give you that silky looking texture. But is it worth the risk? Stick to safety conscious personal care products.
